Green technologies qualifiy for expedited examination

21-Apr-2011 The Canadian patent office has amended the patent rules to provide for advanced examination of patent applications relating to green technologies without requiring payment of the normal examination advancement fee.  Accordingly, patent applications in this area can be advanced out their normal place in the examination queue to be reviewed more quickly upon submission of a declaration to the invention's potential for addressing environmental impacts or conserving natural environment and resources.  Contact an Ade & Company patent agent if you have a new invention in this area or believe your existing application may qualify for this option.
